Today’s Chennai is a city on the south east cost of India. It was the first trading post of the English in India and this fortification is named Fort St. Georg. It was established in 1630 by the East Indian Company and this company was the wealthiest in the world by that time.


However, The Kingdom of Norway-Danmark establised a trading post 24 miles south already in 1620. This fort was named Daneborg.

Funny thing is that it is commonly known that the English was huge importers of tea from this area, but the truth is that the Vikings was larger and they even smuggeled it to England and sold it to a huge profit😊😊
