At war more than at peace

Since the present war makes travel between Thailand and Cambodia a bit of a challenge we will present som other war history while we are forced to stay a few extra days in Bangkok.

Back to NAM.

Vietnam as been in a lot of conflicts up thru the years. It started with this general.

He was the general that stoped the Mongol invasion no more than 3 times 👏

Then they had several conflicts with China, Cambodia and Laos before the french came and made most of this region into a colony.

Japan was next to control it during WW2

Todays Vietnam was bourn in 1945 when France was striped of its colony and Vietnam was formed. The Frence then tried to reclaim it by force during the next decade but eventuly they had to give up. During this decade the Chi tunnel gerilja was formed and the same tunnels also beat the Americans some years later.

We had tickets to the tunnels. It was 36 degrees and very humid that day.

The tunnels are not buildt for people that are 190 cm long or other people that are plaged with a fat ass. It was posible to crawl thru them but with the temprature it was not recommended for us old people with bad knees, destorted hips and what not to do this unfortenly😮‍💨

During the French rule after 1945, they executed a brutal regime on all resistanse.

When the “Nam” war started, the Vietcong did the same to their opponents taken into captivity.

We humans never learn anything from history🤷🏻‍♂️.
